Noblesville Schools voters approved the district's referendum Tuesday, 15,211 to 11,393, with all precincts reporting. It funds about 20 percent of the operating budget, and the current one expires at the end of the year. The school board has committed to a 38.5-cent rate for 2027 and increases of no more than 4 cents a year after that.

Neighbors followed. Hamilton Southeastern passed its replacement with more than 58%, Carmel Clay with 58%, and Westfield led 14,013 to 11,020 with most precincts in. Sheridan was the only district to fall short. Early voting in Hamilton County also surged compared with 2022.

HSE is only the third unbeaten, untied champion in state history. The Indianapolis Star reported the Royals are also the third program to win back-to-back titles without a loss in either season, joining Carmel (1994-95) and Noblesville (2019-20).

The Wrap

Kids who have never driven a go-kart get their shot at Kart City, a new indoor track in Noblesville that opened at the end of October. Every kart is a one-seater, so the kids steer their own, and the electric karts are small, with staff in charge of how fast they go. Tiny drivers, big grins.
