About this event

Our Hockey House: The Next Chapter

A Community Vision Event at Holliday Park

Celebrating the progress, Sharing the Vision, and Building What Comes Next

Join Our Hockey House as we celebrate what our community has helped build and share the next chapter of our work.

During this informal community event, we will recognize some of the Early Leadership Supporters strengthening Our Hockey House today and share where OHH is going, the opportunities families are asking for, our current funding needs, and our long-term vision for creating a dependable pathway for Indianapolis children who want to begin—and keep playing—hockey.

The outdoor rink will be open for skating throughout the event. Inside the building, Our Hockey House will offer several short conversations for families, educators, supporters, and community partners. Attend the sessions that are most relevant to you, skate between conversations, or join us for the entire evening.

Indoor Conversation Schedule

— New to OHH: How to Get Started

For families learning about Our Hockey House for the first time. We will explain Hockey Basics, equipment, registration, waitlists, what families can expect, and how children can begin.

— Returning Families: What Comes Next

For current and returning community families. We will discuss Hockey Basics, Player Development, current opportunities, capacity limitations, and the pathway OHH is working to create for children who want to continue.

— Our Hockey House + IPS: Programs and Future Pathways

For IPS families, teachers, and school partners. We will discuss school-based programs, ways for IPS students to continue outside of school, equipment and transportation needs, and the longer-term vision for an IPS team pathway.

— Teacher and School Partner Huddle

A short, informal conversation for educators and school partners to share feedback, discuss student needs, and learn about future partnership opportunities.

— The Next Chapter: Vision, Needs and Ways to Help

For sponsors, donors, Early Leadership Supporters, community leaders, and anyone interested in the future of Our Hockey House. We will share OHH’s growth and impact, recognize early supporters, explain the current $220,000 funding need, introduce the larger program and facility vision, and discuss ways to help build what comes next.
