🎓 Education
Indiana Learning Center, a tutoring service for K-12 students, has expanded to Hamilton County by offering in-person lessons in coffee shops + libraries as well as online tutoring.
The center operates in 15 counties and plans to add two more districts by late 2027 with sessions at $30 an hour.
State officials announced that starting in January all K-12 schools will have an anonymous tip line for safety concerns—monitored 24 hours by trained specialists as part of a $1 million investment.
Students, staff and families can report bullying, threats and violence without sharing their names.
🌲 Environment
The Indiana DNR launched a rewards program, now open (details on the DNR app) that awards visitors points when they check in at state parks, wildlife areas, and nature preserves; points, limited to one check-in daily, can be redeemed for $25 gift cards for camping or state park inn stays.

Indiana officials announced that starting in January, Healthy Indiana Plan Medicaid recipients must document 80 hours monthly of work, volunteering, or study, risking loss of coverage for over 58,000 if they fail to meet requirements.
