About this event

Reading Buddies is exploring Diwali, the Festival of Lights!Participants will explore the meaning and traditions of Diwali through stories and hands-on activities, learning about light, celebration, and community across cultures. Kids will then create Diwali-inspired items for their Buddy along with themed crafts and simple activities like our light-and-shadow theater. The program blends literacy, cultural exploration, and creativity into a warm, engaging experience that celebrates storytelling and global traditions. Dont forget to turn in your reading logs. Dont have an APL Reading Buddy yet? Thats ok, we will provide one for you (while supplies last) ! This program is intended for children ages 5-12.
